General
Q: Can I bring a plus one?
A: We have indicated invited guests and optional plus ones on your invitations. Due to space constraints,

we can not accommodate any additional guests.

Q: Are my kids invited?

A: While we adore all the children in our lives, our wedding will be primarily an adults-only celebration, with the exception

of children under 2.

Q: Will the weekend events be indoors or outdoors?
A: We are hoping (keep your fingers crossed!) that all the events will take place outdoors. Please dress accordingly!

Q: When is the RSVP deadline?
A: Please RSVP no later than April 1st, 2026.

Q: Who can I reach out to with questions?

A: Prior to the wedding, please contact Anna at 613-818-6179. If you have a question weekend of, please direct it to out wedding coordinator Katie (she'll have a name tag!), or a Springwood staff member.

Q: Do you have a gift registry?

A: We can’t stress enough that your presence is a present! We know that attending a wedding is a big commitment with travel & accommodation costs, and having you there to celebrate with us is the best gift we could ask for. Given this, we aren’t registering for any gifts. If you’d still like to contribute something, a small cash gift is always appreciated, but please know it’s completely optional!

Venue

Q: Can I smoke at the venue?

A: Cannabis, cigarettes and cigars can all be smoked on the Springwood property. Please do not smoke or vape indoors in any of the cottages or event spaces. We'll have a designated smoking area during the reception. Above all else, please be respectful to other guests and the Springwood Property during your stay (and don't start a forest fire).

Welcome BBQ

Q: What can I expect from the BBQ?

A: We're hosting a BBQ on Friday night for our guests to get to know each other, play some outdoor games, enjoy delicious food and drinks, and make the most of an early summer cottage weekend!

Q: What should I wear?

A: We've called the dress code for this event 'cottage best'. Think sundresses, golf shirts, etc! Check out the Friday night details page for more info. Please note the BBQ will be on a covered deck, but we will have outdoor games and activities available, so please wear appropriate shoes for grassy areas!

Q: How long will the BBQ be?

A: We'll be hosting the BBQ from 4-11pm. Dinner will start to be served around 6. We'll also have some wedding party speeches at 7! We'd love to have you join us for the evening, but also welcome anyone who needs to arrive late or head out early. We'd love to see you in any capacity!

Wedding Day: Ceremony
Q: What time is the ceremony?

A: The ceremony will begin at 4:30. Please note that it is about a 10 minute walk from the main deck at Springwood. Please plan to arrive to the ceremony space between 4-4:15.

Q: Will I be seated at the ceremony?

A: Due to the space constraints at the location we've chosen for the ceremony, there will be a mix between seated and standing guests. Please wear appropriate footwear for standing on grass (& we promise to keep it short!).

Q: Can I take photos during the ceremony?

A: We'll be having an 'unplugged' ceremony, and ask you to please have your cellphones and cameras off and stowed safely away. You'll have an opportunity to take a photo before the ceremony begins, and we'll be sharing photos with you after the event!

Q: What happens after the ceremony?

A: Following the ceremony there will be a short champagne toast (non alcoholic option available). Following the toast, guests will head over to the main deck for cocktail hour!

Wedding Day: Reception
Q: Will dinner be served?

A: We'll be serving a seated family style dinner. Please let us know in your RSVP if you have any dietary restrictions!

Q: Where is the reception?

A: The reception will take place in the event tent (~150 meters from cocktail hour).

Q: Will there be an open bar?

A: Yes! We'll have a full bar with wine, beer, and basic mixed drinks available, as well as our signature cocktail options. Non-alcoholic options available as well!

Q: Will there be dancing?

A: Absolutely! Following dinner, the tent will be converted to a dance floor. Let us know if there's any songs to get you on it!

Q: Will there be any snacks if I'm hungry after dinner?

A: We'll be serving a late night snack bar at 11pm!

Directions

Springwood Cottage Resort is just a short drive off of Highway 7. Look for the turn onto Henderson Road, which will lead you to Blue Heron Ridge. Service along highway 7 can be spotty, so we recommend downloading the area on offline maps!
